Technical A bit of a bizarre problem, can you help?

I have a 2001 1.9 ELX JTD. Last week my remote central locking and alarm stopped working. Luckily, the alarm must have been off at the time because I can still drive it. But as soon as I turn the ignition the dash beeps to let me know that a door is open. Checked all the doors and none are! I changed the battery in the key, but still no joy. Called local dealer and all they could suggest is to disconnect the car battery for 30 minutes and try again........ surprise this did not work!

I have since noticed that the radio and the interior light have packed up as well? Could they all be linked to a fuse or wiring together?

Anyone got any ideas???

Sorted! It WAS the fuse, but previous owner had put the wrong amp in and just kept blowing. Lucky escape pound wise I think......
