Anyone having issues with the alarm on the multipla. mine is going off at very regular intervals. isn't weather related, as it happens in all conditions. had the dealer look at it, but as usual the diagnosis is nothing.
the handbook states that the volumisers can be switched off at the ignition switch, but i had no success with this. i wanted to try the alarm with the volumisers off to see if that was what was triggering the alarm. pain in the @rse cause i can't use the remote locking without activating the alarm.

Our stereo also seem to switch on and off by itself. again asked the dealer who won't look at it because you only get 1 year warranty with the stereo (something the fail to tell at purchase). i thought maybe the two were related, i had an issue with the battery charge being low as the stereo was running for a while, but i have since disconnected the stereo and still get the alarm going off.

anyone experienced similar or have any idea?

next time the alarm goes off, turn the alarm off with the fob,and look at the red LED lamp on the dash, which sould be flashing, count the amount of flashes, and this will tell you what caused the alarm to go off.
When you turned the sensors off did you turn the ignition off then on and off,get out of the car and lock with fob.
You can also have the alarm set ,with out the siren going off, this is done by holding the key fob pressed constantly for 4 to 8 seconds when locking the car and a beep will sound to say it has worked.now when the alarm goes off ,the indicators will flash........................

cheers multipete,

when i tried to disarm the volumisers the book does state, to turn the ignition to 'mar' the quickly turn to off and remove the keys from ignition, but this didn't seem to do anything. what you suggest is slightly different, do you think this would work, its worth a try anyway.

i have used the 'pressing the fob for x seconds' which is useful.

Radio is covered by manufactuers (radio not Fiat) standard one year warranty, some models have 2 year warranty.

If problem is volumetric sensors chances are you need new updated control box.

Best bet is to get dealer to use examiner to see what caused the triggers (last 10 triggers are held in memory)...good luck (y)
