Does anyone else get a slight click/tick noise from the clutch pedal just as you are about to lift your foot completely off the clutch pedal when changing gear when its cold? Disappears when the cabin is warmed - just something I've noticed recently?

The clutch pedal has TWO switches. One at bottom of travel just off the floor and one at the top of travel just before full release.

Could be the top switch/drive/engagement mechanism that is making the noise when cold.

If you have MultiECUScan or similar diagnostic kit then the switches can be real-time monitored and if the click coincides with the change of state of the switch then this will confirm that it is the switch/drive/engagement which is the most likely culprit.

Thanks mate. Its not causing any issues and goes once the cabin is warm - just a bit annoying at the time.............Will take a look. What is the switch actually there for?

The top switch tells the engine ECU that: the clutch pedal has been/is depressed. This will result in cruise control disengagement, and other important informational feedback.

The lower switch tells the engine ECU that: the clutch pedal has been/is being released. This will result in engine RPM being increased (anti-stall), automatic handbrake release, and other important informational feedback.

I've not researched all the vehicle operational parameter actions on the two clutch switch activation events but from my experience cruise control disengagement and anti-stall are obvious.

The above is based on my manual gearbox system. Automatics / 4WD may have additional uses for the two clutch pedal switches.

I could research deeper but unless there is a pressing issue then the basics as provided are sufficient.
