Another question...

My new to me 2014 4x4 has no jack.

I'd like to use one but my bottle jack is too short. Does anyone know what height jack would be needed?

I don't want to use the slime repair kits. If I can find a jack, I will buy a spare wheel

Thanks again

Mine came with just the rubber band repair kit, so I bought one of these:
The wheel *just* fits in the spare wheel well, but does make a small hump in the carpet. All the tools (and the repair kit) fits under the wheel.
, except the jack which I had to tuck away at the edge of the boot.
I want to make a raised boot floor, but I have sooo many other projects it's a fait bit down the list of things to do.

I had a Doblo that I fitted heavy duty springs to the rear for towing and it raised the rear so the factory jack wouldn't work when unloaded, so I used a thick wide piece of wood to sit the jack on safely which did the job . The only thing I would say is chock the other wheels securely, both sides of the wheel, as the higher your jack goes, then the car only has to move a little either way to cause the jack to tip over.
There are small garage style jacks with the four wheels that can lift higher than a standard manufacturers car jack, but take up more space, though fairly light weight.
It goes without saying of course that even with the best jack in the world, never go under a vehicle without it properly supported on axle stands.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but are the tools (jack etc) that come with that wheel suitable for the 4x4 or do you need to buy a different jack ie Doblo etc in post above?

Thanks

Tony
