Thought you were in Morrocco playing with a Tonka toy.
Anyway Vern is setting new standards of Panda Porn (I mean perfection) in your absence.
All the best Dave

 True. I did hear someone say ' That's not a classic is it?' But when I look in classic car magazines and see MGF's, Mazda mx5's, and now even Rover 75's! having articles written on them, I think " Why is the poor old Panda being ignored  ".

Congrats on the mot David

. If your red 4x4 is basically sound I'd say go for it! This is made an enjoyable job by the basic condition of the car as it was. I'm finding that someone was very liberal with the body was at some early stage in its life and it's really paid off.

Just noticed this previous post made no sense at all, what I was trying to say was that someone had been very liberal with the body wax and it's really paid off .

ooh shiny bay, and a scorpion to boot! where did that come from? Looks fantastic.

Looks good doesn't it :). It's the air filter from my new engine, I just placed it in the 4x4 engine bay to see how it looked :p. With some extra piping it could possibly be connected up to the carb and used properly, will investigate further if anyone likes the idea of doing this.
The 4x4 is staying original however, so it was removed after taking the pic.

Had a little trouble with inlet manifolds recently :(, you may remember that the original cracked on fitting, well half way through cleaning up the spare one I noticed a problem, can you spot it?

Answer: No take off for the servo!!! This one was from a 1000CL which doesn't have a servo so I was back to square one.
In the end I had to repair the original, turned out fine though, you'd never know........

I'm cracking on with the front suspension refurb now, as well as the other 4x4, hope to have them both ready for my customer to choose one at the end of the week. Hope he doesn't want this one .

Better then new:D

Thanks Rele :). I'm trying to get it as close to new as possible, trying not to just paint everything and go over the top, if it wasn't painted when it left the factory I don't paint it. I'm finding that every time I work on it now my hands take a little longer to get dirty :p.

My buyer is going for the other 4x4 as he needs one with less show, so I've started on the front suspension now.........

Not as exciting as engines I know, but hey it's another picture, I know you all like pictures ;).
The rubber dust shield is new, I went for original in the end, so the Monroe ones I bought recently will be destined for the blue clx where originality is long fogotten.
The spring and top bearing housing are just washed off, the strut was washed and painted as the original paint had started to come off in places.

Wow! How long has this been:(

Started back on this with a view finishing before I start anything else.

This is just a bump, pics and further info when I get home.
