Instead of cutting up a new sill

You can buy repair patch panels for about £30

I don't know if the curves are the same though

Hey @koalar where du you buy these?
I asked my local blacksmith and they said no problem we can bend something for you but not roll so there will be like a bunch sharp edges.
I couldn't find these kind of panels, like you suggested.

Here in the UK there on several sites including eBay, autodoc, central panels, carvanbits and so on


Searching isn't simple

Could be under sill or rocker

A lot are out of stock at the moment

Try searching the blic part number in the photo above

Not sure what autodoc postage to you is like

Or maybe contact klokkerholm they supply quality parts and are based in Denmark

I wouldn't call Klokkerholm quality. Been using them for many VW buses and Volvos, and I try to avoid them nowadays.

Latvia, Poland and Lithuania are all countries that seem to do panels and part panels for pandas of all eras…try eBay…just looked, Kiba in Lithuania is where mine came from, about £70

I said -
100HP sills and wheel arches have punched holes for the body trim buttons. Climbing, 4x4, Cross, etc probably have similar. As far as I can see the panels look the same, just with added lightness. ;-)

I meant the side sills should be compatible. Not the whole floor assembly. That should have been obvious from the context.

I went for the full sill panels. They are more money but less stitch welding is needed - just LOTS of spot welds to deal with. I started a practice job on a scrap body shell but quickly chickened out and gave the job to a professional.

Found the dealer merctimer at German eBay and they delivered the sills for € 20. Apparently not only Mercedes stuff in their shop, and super quick delivery.

You normally cut out the rot, and replace with fresh steel. You shape accordingly. This may help you

That's what the professional did with mine. Only the bottom edge of the full sill panels were used.
