Technical 4th flexi-pipe in a year???

ive got a powerflow exhaust....and its on its 4th flexi pipe....the guy keeps fitting 100mm flexi's under warranty...its free but a bit long to keep going back....

how can i stop it eating them???

would a longer flexi work, logic being more length to absorb the stresses???

I'm sure those flexi pipes are supported some how. If you increase its lenght you'll need more support.

The ORIGINAL flexi was 200mm....the aftermarket exhaust one is 100mm....

also, there are no supports for the flexi, it just sits there....

Then perhaps the excessive vibrations from your engine(failed engine mount) is whats causing the flexi to prematurely fail.

There's nothing wrong with the PowerFlow flexi's, they're good quality and in your case they're free due to the warranty. So fix whats causing them to fail, the engine/gearbox mount then go get your free flexi. :bang:

wouldnt say there good quality, they are just free lol.

the inside doesnt have the interlockign rings like others i have seen, its just a braided mesh....

aside from the fact that the ones they are using are half the length of the OEM one fitted to the car...
