Well of course it would. If you're sitting on a tram you're not going to just record straight away, she had probably been going on and on for a while. Also note that she never accuses anyone of saying anything to her or doing anything, only thing they're "guilty" of is being foreign.
The thing is, what would she do if she lived in a ****hole? Would she try and move to another country or would she be all polite and stay in a country where prospects are nowhere near as good for her and her child.
