This is the view I had in St Albans, I'm sure RobinPJ will probably be able to say exactly where it was taken :p

I must say that for a car that had done 85k miles it felt quite tight which is good for people who want to own their 500's for years and years and years :)

I just realised that I said that the bilsteins are noticeably harsher than the standard 1.2 suspension. I meant to say aren't noticeably harsher. They really are one of those have your cake and eat it type mods. I suspect that on the track they might not be stiff enough perhaps?

Congrats on your new arrival, Maxi... I'm sure many more people will fall in love than would have noticed your Bilsteins ;)

I see in the picture Jason's car still has an interior with standard dashboard, stereo, and instrument cluster? Surprising! - I expected a carpet-covered sheet aluminium dash with toggle switches and Stack gauges :p

Sleeping in till 11 is all good. I once read in a 'motivational' cereal-packet newsletter that "at 30, no-one will be telling you when to get out of bed in the morning". I've used that as a cornerstone of what's good about my life.

Bear in mind she's had all new bushes, coilovers, rose jointed drop links, suspension arms etc. Aside frome the shagged rear brakes the fun bits are all new after I lunched the old ones doing 30 balls out laps of the ring over 2 days. :D

But yes, used in the normal way I'd fully expect it to last for ages.

Wow nice. Did you have crazy brake fade after all that ring action?

The brakes held up pretty well to the ring abuse. It's sitting unused for a couple of weeks they don't like. Got all the rear off yesterday and the calipers had gone all crusty. Strip and clean and alls well now. New pads and all is back to normal. The 4 pot conversion is still on the drawing board but I've promised myself I'll get the Panda racer done first and then do the Lotus suspension refresh before I tinker anymore with Isabella. I need one car that's not in bits :)

Well I meant in terms of the gearshift and so on :) Interior and switchgear didn't feel particularly worn :)
