on the fiat ignitions, they dont have acc .so the main supply wires on back off ignition switch are the 3 biggest ones
one is main ignition feed from the fusebox under the bonnet, theres an orange which powers upp the relays and coil packs, and a black n red to the exciter wire on starter motor, thats all ive connect .and away she goes, apart from finding your fuel pump feed from ecu relay, mine was green /black,just connected that to brown white wire of brava to control the fuel pump. and it started first turn .

hi mate, pretty sure i can help you on this one,ive got 2x20v turbo bravos n they were both a ballache!! :) haha anyway, wiring wise,if the 16v is anything like the 20v (ie..keycoded) then the easyiest way to do it is to just bite the bullet and remove ya dashboard and fit the full loom from the donor car mate, slicing wires is ok for vauxhall transplants because they can run off just a few wires, fiat are a bit more highly strung, well these engines are anyway.
i tried the whole splicing wires thing myself and it never worked (and i had a professional car electrician to do it!) and he never made it work either...
so we took out the dash and fitted the full loom and she fired straight up ;) trust me,,save yourself the time and effort and just fit the full loom,it so much easier, plus your diagnostic ports etc will work as they should, and you can never be sure if you got every wire correct, even if it runs something wont be right.I dont mind helping if i can mate,ps does anyone have a 20v turbo crank or short engine for slae????

I just bought a Punto hgt mk2 and I am thinking swap the engine with a 2.0 20v coupe turbo, any one knows if can be done and what needs to be done.
I want to buy a coupe and then transplant it to the Punto and maybe if possible change the gearbox with a 6 speed
