Just adding a dump valve makes it void unless you tell your insurance.
A dump valve is a standard item on the Coupe though. Mine broke, so was replaced with an equivalent (though not identical) dump valve.

Maybe a bit off topic but also a bit relevant: the Alfa GTV. I think these are technically similar cars to the Coupe (correct me if I'm wrong), except for the engines. Would a 2.0 litre engined GTV generally less costly to maintain than a Coupe, or more, or the same? If anyone has owned both, it'd be interesting to read a comparison.

If you have fitted a bailey type dump valve, iam wondering if it is void or not. technically its a modified part, so needs declaring i would of thought.:)

i have delared everthing and i am paying £2300tptf (n) but it is worth every bit:D

EEK tpft - I did that once when i was made redundant idea was to upgrade to FC when i had the spare money. Then the rad went, the manifold went, the brakes needed replacing and new tyres, so that spare money never came (n) Then had the accident. This is why I am now paying out of my own pocket for an investigation.

@ Sumplug - I got average 34mpg out of my coupe, so didnt do too bad. I bought the car when i was doing 12miles a day commute. I am now doing over 400 miles a week. It certainly does hit the pocket hard

And yes sumplug is right, you should declare a none standard DV.

I have every last mod covered on my coupe, even the dump valve :p Greenlight are good in that they don't load your premium for stupid things like a strut brace  You tell them your BHP @ the fly and they go off that for the quote, you then fill in a form stating everything on your car.
