500 (Abarth) 2017 Abarth 595 'aka Gloria'

Introduction

Gloria was my Mum's car, who passed away recently. It was the only brand new car she ever bought and she loved it, never really got to do many miles in it sadly. But it seemed right that I kept it.

Not much else to say about it really, its got around 18k miles and it needs few niggles addressing, mainly from sitting. I very much doubt much will happen to it for the foreseeable but I will keep you updated.

I'll post some proper pictures once I've had chance to clean it properly and get pics, but here is one.

lol, are Abarth always this confusing  :ROFLMAO:

When I was looking at the brochures of the time of production of my '22 car I saw it described as just 'circuit' grey , it all makes sense now.... kinda

If you google 735A it comes up as Grigio Imprevedibile :LOL:

So I thought you decribing it as Pista Grey was yet another subtle variation of grey, talk about 50 shades of grey 😁

In Italian it is called "Grigio Pista 735/A".

So Gloria is just a car that was available right then and there when my mum wanted/needed a new car. For those interested its a 2017 and first registered 30/11/2017. So yeah its pretty basic and she didnt get the choose anything with it being just an in stock vehicle. I'll be honest, I've never particularly wanted one of these. Not that i dont like them or anything just not something thats ever been on my radar as something i'd own ever. As such I don't know much about them in terms of differences between models, trim levels etc. I just know this is the slowest one without anything fancy at all. I assume theres a better headunit with navi etc but it connects to my phone and plays spotify so its good enough. This is more a sentimental car really, it could be a rusty old fiesta and i'd probably have taken it - That said, anyone who knows me knows i won't be able to leave it alone forever but right now its a super sensible daily that enables my Suzuki to be less of a sensible car.

The seat thing, its just the base of the seat - you don't really sit on it or in it, somewhere inbetween and it just pinches the hips all the time. The wife has endometriosis and she likes driving it but the seat destroys her hips, she could only drive it locally or she'd just be in pain for days which kinda sucks but she still likes her car more anyway - she thinks the fixed buckets in the track cinq are comfier lol. For me its merely a mild annoyance, the bucket sabelts will only be comfy for the right size person, thats just how buckets are i guess. Maybe one day I'll buy some seat bases to have a play with but for now i'll just chuck a cushion in there lol.

I've officially used 1 whole tank of fuel now.
