Hello,

I dont know what these anchors/fastners are. Ive watched scudo window regulator replacement videos and they are all 10mm bolts. How do i remove these?

Those are rivets in the first photo and not related to the removal of the window regulator it's self, I think more if you had to change the window guide , they would need to be drilled out.
It looks to me as though the motor is on the bottom left of the door with the cables coming from it.
But if you are changing the regulator /cables and motor then if no bolts then drilling may be the answer. What does the new regulator look like, can you get a better idea from looking at that?
On some Fiats the have a fitting in the bottom centre of the glass that locates the window slide mechanism and is held in place with a plastic clip like a loop. The photo below is the broken part of one of those red loops they are normally part of the new regulator, when changing the old one that clip is pushed down releasing the pin in the glass so regulator can be moved away from the glass. This was on a Fiat saloon so may be different. I use mirrors and a endoscope camera sometimes as the only way to see inside door panels.;)

I must have to drill them out. There are 5 of them. The new regulator comes with replacement bolts.

I think ive worked it out now. I will have another go in the morning and do some photos. The rivets through me off because it looked like you could use a security bit and unsrew them.

I sorted the regulator now. There are 5 rivets that need to be drilled out. I used a 4mm pilot bit then an 8mm. The new regulator i purchased came without the motor so i had to relocate the old motor to the new regulator. The regulator i used stated they corrected a design floor from manufacturer. The link is below - https://www.ozeparts.com.au/1032107.html

There is a foam barrier that is behind the door card. I will be using a universal door restore kit to replace it with - https://www.repco.com.au/car-care-p...lders-door-restore-kit-4-door-drk4/p/a5591582

You will need the following for this job:
10mm socket with extension
Star bit t30
Panel removal tools or if youre living life in the fast lane a small flat blade.

Thanks for posting this. My drivers window started slipping down after making loud bang! Looks like the cable has broken, so I assume will need to replace the whole regulator. Do I have to take the glass window out of the door or can it be left in place? I will need to drill out the rivets too (yeah). Any tips on doing this job much appreciated. Thanks

Usually if glass jammed up all the way there should be enough room to remove the regulator, others on Forum can give specific advice on your model.

Thanks, I got the job done, swapping the regulator is fairly straightforward and in the UK "Select Automotive" even supplies helpful diagram. Hardest part is removing the original rivets. If you're not used to that, it's worth checking out videos on rivet removal. I drilled, cut and pulled, thankfully my handy work is now out of sight behind the door card!
