Technical 2015 Ducato Power folding mirrors retrofit wiring switch

I have succesfully retrofitter electrical power folding mirros.

all you need is
2 powerfolding mirros
1 new drivers side door switch with integrated power folding mirros button
2 door wiring harnesses for powerfolding mirros

no programming needed or extra control module
When you lock the doors mirrors closing automatically? And when unlock are opening? Or just manual from the dedicated button on the driver door?

Of course. You don't need to buy the original panel and wiring looms then. Just a switch to operate the motor both ways and some wire.
yes but then you need to pass wiring from the one side of the car under the dash to the other unless you decide to have two seperate switches left and right. and have an okward switch or two and cut the connectors from the mirrors wiring. Not very smooth installation and convenient.

otherwise if you buy two door wiring harnesses and proper switch you have a much convenier and professional installation like factory that does not deter to the van originality. Not worthwhile anyway to make your own wiring since dorr wiring harness is not expensive and you can easily find second hand used ones cheaply.

As regarding to opening and closing the mirrors with locking and unlocking the car can be done with multiecuscan, or alfaobd program

According to this picture from another forum, I can suppose the only chassis difference between short, medium and long arm it need to be the lenght of iron part C style.

Depends of what someone wants. I went for the original setup, with original panel.

Finding the proper wiring looms is not that easy, there are several versions of it, I was looking for ones proper to my van for almost a year and finally decided to buy some newer ones (probably from the x290) instead with similar options. I will probably need to rearange the positions of the pins in the sockets. But that's a thing to do having a wiring diagram.

If someone is swapping mirrors, an operation which includes swapping wiring looms, running a cable across the van cab should not be a problem :)

Can you please point this option in MES, I was not able to find it :(

I have 3 driver mirror open. 1 long arm manual, 1 short arm power folding, 1 short arm with blind spot. Look like power folding motor don't support long arm bracket. I'll study more and brb

The upgrade is not impossible. I'll have to weld a bracket to the motor cover. Also very interesting will be to extract the compressed washer. I need to suit a compression tool.
