Old one 735529538 has 3 pin connector 3 wires
New one 00532961830 has 6 pin connector 4 wires.

Has anyone fitted the new one? Any wiring diagrams to compare the new with the old? What is the extra wire for?

old one has wires on pins 1 2 3
new one has wires on pins 2 3 5 6

My guess is that

Old pin1 goes to new pin2 (black wire)
Old pin2 goes to new pin5 (red green wire)
Old pin3 goes to new pin3 (beige yellow wire)
New pin3 wire???? (green? wire)

The one on the bottom of the first photo is a standard x250 interior cab light I assume. It's the one I have in my 2011 built chassis. Is it the 'old' one, or the 'new' one?

The three wires are I assume positive, negative and a signal that one of the door is open OR a positive feed when the door is open. Black being the ground.

Here's the description:

The switching on of the courtesy light is managed by the Body Computer M001 which receives negative "door open" input signals respectively:

  • at pin 11 of connector C (driver's front door, via the internal contact at the geared motor N050 - pin 4 -);
  • at pin 34 of connector C (passenger front door, via the internal contact at the geared motor N051 - pin 4 -);
The front courtesy light G010 receives a power supply, at pin 2, directly from the Body Computer M001, via the output line from pin 18 connector E of the junction unit under the dashboard B002.

The front courtesy light G010 is connected, via pin 1, to the cab earth C100 and, via pin 3, to pin 30 of the Body Computer M001, which provides a suitable negative signal for the timed/dimmed switching on.

The Body Computer M001 receives a direct battery power supply at pin 1 (protected by fuse F38 of B002) and 18 of the coupling with the junction unit under the dashboard B002; it also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) at pin 9 of the same coupling.

The Body Computer M001 is also connected to the centre dashboard earth C022 via pins 10 and 19 of connector B and via pin 20 of the coupling with the junction unit under the dashboard B002 (at the output from pin 10 of connector B of junction unit B002).

And the diagram:

or maybe because they are touch buttons that switch on and off rather than hardware switches they feed some sort of signal to the main body computer

I forgot to tell you top is the new one and bottom the old one

Any description and diagrams about the new one to compare with the old one?

Where does new pin3 green wire goes to?
Any insight from somebody that has the new light?

Yes, unfortunatey diagrams are divided into four different versions

250 Ducato (2006-2014)
290/295 Ducato FL 2014 (2014-2022)
290/295 DUCATO MCA (2022-2024) (new dash)
290/295 DUCATO MY'24 (2024-on) (new front bumper)

Currently https://lab-aftersales.fiat.com/ has only the first two versions which are both free.
On the other hand, https://aftersales.fiat.com/ has all four versions but only the first one is free.
