Hi all,
I've recently purchased a 2010 Fiat Qubo - Funky Orange - 1.3 mutijet automatic.
- 100.000 km
- has been serviced according schedule.
Now I found out about some issues so is decided to join this forum.
During acceleration I can hear a strange (grinding) noise. It's not too loud but you can hear in the following video: LINK not allowed jet (please search youtube for "Fiat Fiorino Qubo vreemd geluid bij acceleratie") . Could this be something with the turbo? Timing chain? V-belt tensioner?
This sound only appears while accelerating, around 2000 rpm. In higher revs it's completely gone. The sound is present in every gear. In the lower gears you can barely hear it because the revs go up quickly. When accelerating lightly you can't hear it as well. I think it's only there when the engine is over 50%? load. When driving on the highway this happens often.
I hope anyone can point me in the right direction as I bought this car without warranty :bang:
Kind regards,
Jasper
