My speedometer ( 2008 panda ) started showing a very erratic reading about 4 years ago, now it just shows zero, I have spent a shed load
trying to get it sorted and latest results suggest sending a signal from ABS cont. unit gives speedometer reaction just fine,
I have tried another ABS unit but fault still same.
I think it might be a incoming signal to ABS unit ( all abs signals fine ) and perhaps as simple as a earth wire.
What I need is wiring information for the ABS plug.
Thanks in advance, Dave.

The first move is to activate the speedometer via software

And eliminate the body computer and dash connections and does not require any parts

Does the milage go up ?

Is the ABS light on ?

Is the steering light on ?

Speedometer fine, swapped out with borrowed unit same, signal sent from ABS and speedometer showing a reading.
Mileage not changing and since constant zero reading steering light on and only limited power steering

I always forget which sensor it uses for the speedometer

It’s one of the front for sure. I jacked the front up and the speedometer worked fine

I am 90% sure it’s the front left.

If you look through the forum someone about 5 years ago had to replace one even though it was giving a signal.

I’d start by swapping the front sensors over
