Panda (Mk3) 2004 Panda Dynamic

Just bought this 2004 Panda Dynamic, 1.2 as a little fixer upper to sell. Having had my 'MyLife' for over a year I have become quite attached to these cars. I'll post updates on this thread of it's little journey.

Introduction

I've got another Panda, with 64,000 on the clock, I think that's quite the bargain!

I always liked the custard yellow, but I won't be keeping this unfortunately. It requires a bit of loving and once it's got it's fresh mot it'll be going away.

If you're interested, Follow it's journey with me on this
Has it been working since you changed the torque sensor
Nope, I put electrical contact cleaner on the plug insert for the torque sensor and let it sit for 20 minutes before I inserted the plug, and made sure all other connections were in, firmly. Power steering light comes on even on key position 2, without engine on (light is visible, then goes away for a few seconds then can hear the relay and the steering fault light comes back).

If you turn the ignition on

Is the engine check light on
Battery on
Oil on
Immo flash and stay on

Is the clock keeping the time or flashing

On cranking do the oil and battery stay off until the engine fires

What's the battery resting voltage

What's the battery resting voltage
Yes, the usual initial light sequence occurs then the steering light comes back and stays on. Same thing happens when engine is on.

I'm at the unit just now doing some tidying up, I will check battery resting voltage but I have already checked Alternator and I've charged this battery up (goes from "charging" to "charged" within 10 minutes.

Right let start at the begining

Check the voltage drop, during cranking

Any other electrics mis behaving, back light of the dash for example

Was on away job hence the delay but, swapped over the steering column, fitted the ignition barrel and clock spring etc, everything all lined up.

We have power steering again!!! - YIPPEE

Ordered a new bumper too as the crack was always a sad part of the car.

Will book this in for it's MOT again!

Doing it's pre-MOT checks today,

Hopefully all goes well on Wednesday!

Usual, noticed the oil weep from the rocker cover gasket but should be here soon!

I believe this little bean will be staying in the Family as unfortunately his Doblo is going to the scrapyard on Wednesday and needs a runabout!

Talk about lucky timing!
