Interesting to read they plan another car to slot in under the 500, thats more like it... a cheap Fiat again!
Engine sounds brilliant, but 105bhp from 2 cylinders, hope its not fragile like the 3 cylinder Smart engine.

but aren't 2 cylinder engines very unstable? or is it ok as long as they're kept small and well balanced or something?
They're bringing back the Topolino name for it - according to Auto Car that is. They recently did a feature on the new VW up! and that new tiny Toyota. I can't wait for the new 2cyl engines, there' gonna be a riot!
2 cylinder engines are fine if they are NOT parallel twins, for example like a 126/500 where both pistons rise and fall together, which makes for loads of wobbling about! If they are like a Beetle then they are quite refind especially with todays technology with balancing them etc.
It will probably sound very muted though, just imagine what it would sound like aircooled though... cool. Im looking forward to it, as modern 4 cylinders are getting too quiet and boring, bring back the vibes man!
