2.4JTD - what shocks and springs

Hi Guys,

Currently I own a re-mapped 2.4JTD with 170bhp. I've replaced the brakes and a driveshaft so it drives so much better.

What's letting it down now is the handling!

I would like Eibach or Bilstein dampers and springs. I cannot find Eibach dampers for the 2.4jtd but can find springs. Bilstein I'm not sure whetther they do them for the 2.4JTD.
2 questions -

1. Anyone know where I can get hold of these shocks and springs?
2. Do the HGT shocks and springs fit the 2.4jtd? I read somewhere they use the same ones because of the power?

Many Thanks,
Lee

1.9 and HGT share shocks and springs iirc but I would expect the 2.4 to be considerably heavier so I doubt they would be the same.

the 2.4 will have its own kit.

is it an alfa 156 or a fiat marea?

You can't get shocks and spring package by eibach. The original shocks and the springs will be fine. Just buy new o.e shocks to go with the new springs.

What are the original shocks like then? Do they do a good job? Just worried as it's a big engine upfront so want something that will handle the power.

I want lowering springs so will buy Eibach if they are available.

the original OE shocks, would you believe it, were designed for that car. ;) They'll be fine. (if they are new)
Its worth asking buypartsby if they can supply you KYB gas shocks though.

Thanks Buzz, you got my drift, I meant new original fit ones!

However, I will ask Buy Parts Buy if they can supply KYB ones

Thanks,
Lee
