Are the switches already on the seat to turn it on and off?

If so, just ignition switched + thru 15amp fuse and a ground feed i reckon, dont think you'd need a relay?

yea switches are already in

thats exactly how i was going to wire it before i started over complicating it lol, just need to know where a good ignition feed would be now

cigar lighter should be good and handy, plus its already a 20A, but id put an extra inline fuse to be safe

take out the center console and gear surround and front seats, you should be able to feed the wires under the carpet. Be sure to use good quality wire and connector blocks

so it would be cig lighter -> 15A inline fuse, then split 1 left 1 right then your ground feed

Just bought a fully working Y reg HGT with shabby tatty bodywork. Considering an engine swap into this car.

My mate has offered to help me do the conversion, but I just want to make sure I know it will work before going ahead with it!

Any advice before I decide to go through with it or not??

can't see any reason why this would not work, having never been in a hgt i'm not gonna comment on how worthwhile a conversion it is. I'd start by swapping over the rear beams so you got rear discs though

ive already got the hgt rear beam on. I've also got the punto gt front calipers too. so brakes are all good.

I'm just after a little bit of info regarding the engine swap, if I will come to some problems or if it is a fairly straight forward swap. I understand the hgt has extras such as traction control and air con, but im not too fussed about these so I could leave them out during the swap.

hmmm decisions decisions....
