just bought a new punto and the light whichlooks like a key is staying on, what does it mean?

the 'CODE' light? It is to do with imobiliser system. Are you using the red key all the time? Does the car work still?

only bought the car recently and it is fine except for the light,
I have been using the red key, whats the difference my old punto 55 had to blue keys.
Should I worry?

red key is the master key, by using it you are telling the immobiliser that you want to program a new blue key, hence the light coming on.

You need to get a new blue one cut asap, or you will naff your whole system up....you can get them cut in quite a lot of high street key cutting places now, for about £25. But make sure they make you a blue one, not just clone the red, or you will be in the same situation.
