Technical 1993 fiat Ducato injector pump problem

I have a 1993 fiat Ducato 1.9td and it needs an injector pump .
The 1 on it was Bosch 0460494187.
Would a different pump fit and work because I can't find this 1

Another option you may have , is to have the original pump reconditioned . I can't tell if this is possible , as you don't mention why you need a new pump . Other pumps can work , but you will need to match the specific parameters of the original . However , one bright light , is it's highly unlikely your pump only fitted the one vehicle . I have had the pump on my car overhauled in the past , by a diesel fuel specialist , and i would recommend their services . However this particular company is based in Berkshire , which of course , is of little use if your in Scotland . This route also eliminate the problem of cross referencing a pump , for a specific vehicle . Take a look for a fuel injection specialist in your area , or even google the same on the net .
