Styling 17" alloys fit punto mk2?

Hey, im looking to buy 17's,
will 17" alloys fit on a punto mk2?
do they rub the front wheel arches when turning?

With the right tyre profile and offset, should fit no problem. I think 195/40 R17 should do it, providing the alloy has a width value of around 6-7 inches. You probably can go wider, but that's where my knowledge runs out.
