12th July - West Coast Rally

Great day out, although we didn't win anything, its worth a shout to those who tried. Looks like its quite a fierce competition for the best modified. And with the lack of older motors, we can't win the Best Pre-90/80/70 catagories. Although they have their own competition, I think I can safely say I won the "Lightest car" within the fiat stands Fiat Scotland :)

Must get busy and lighten the car a little more, with some extra mods aswell. Looks like it can be very tough to win anything at this event.

What a day!

Big thanks firstly to Scoop for once again organising our stand. Thanks also to Harper for helping co ordinate (and cook) the bbq...last but by no means least thanks to everyone who attended today.

Roll on the next meet :)

Eventually...when the rain got it going

Thanks everyone for what was a really fun day. Great to see old faces and meet new ones. I hope we see you all soon and when I'm slightly less tired I'll set up a thread for Dundee in September to see how much interest there is in a mini meet.

As ever thanks to Scoop for organising the stand for us, to Martyn Shaw for the stickers and to everyone who helped set up and take down the gazebo - it did a grand job considering it only cost £20 :) Also thanks to everyone who took a turn in getting the bbq going - no mean feat when I forget the fire lighters and we rely on paper and alcohol instead

Great turnout! Thank you again for your hospitality and the great chat!

Hope to meet up with you all again soon!

Really enjoyed it, was an excellent day and nice meeting you guys all again and some new faces :) On a side note, I have been roasted! Was it even that warm?! Nose, Cheeks and neck is red raw lol.

You're not the only one slightly cooked. The annoying thing is there was factor 30 in the FS goodies box that I usually nag everyone to put on when it's sunny. I didn't bring it out because like you I didn't think it warm enough.

I'm going to pretend I was somewhere really exotic to get a slight tan and very red face

Most places south are exotic to us at least weather-wise but not Irvine. Having stayed the night there on Saturday I can confirm it's about as far away from exotic as you can get.

Apologies to anyone from Irvine
