Technical 120 Ducato Ariel ring replacement

Morning all I have a 2009 Ducato with the dreaded intermittent Mars fault and want to replace the ignition arial ring . Two questions is it easy to do! And does the new one need to be coded to the van! Thanks in advance

The ring aerial has an outer plastic casing with a couple of clips. There is a 2 pin connector incorporated, to mate to the wiring tail near the steering column.

No coding - the aerial is only a coil of wire !

There isn't really much to go wrong with this part, so be prepared for the fault to be elsewhere.
