Hi Mike, I have a modified 650 engine now at 704cc (80mm bore) I am using MaxSpeeding rods of 130mm, as far as I am aware the standard length rod for the 650 engine is 130mm if you are using the 650 crankshaft. The shorter rods may well be used in other capacity 500 engines, but it may also depend on the crankshaft as they can be of a differing throw thus requiring a short or long rod. A different rod length may make it easier to compute the final deck height, depending on the compression height of your pistons. If you are changing your rods make sure to measure yours accurately before ordering.
Ian.
