Hi. My first post on the Panda forum as I have just purchased a low mileage Panda 100hp to replace my ageing Stilo and to compliment my X1/9 (which only comes out occasionally when it's dry :D)
I had wanted to get it re mapped but was disappointed to learn that the ecu on the 100hp was pretty much locked down and this was confirmed by the fact that most of the remapping/tuning service websites don't even list the 100hp. That is except for 'Angel Tuning' in Oxfordshire (www.angeltuning.co.uk) who list it but don't give a price or improved power output figure.
I called them up and they offered various options ranging from £249 for a simple remap up to £799 for a remap and fitted induction kit and quoted a figure of 130bhp for the most expensive option. I told them that I thought it wasn't possible to do and they replied that 'there are ways around it' and not to believe everything you read on the internet.
Has anybody tried Angel tuning for a remap? And also, how come they seem to be the only company who claim to be able to do it?
Any thoughts?

I've never heard of them. I highly doubt they're getting a 30% power increase from a N/A petrol engine via a remap and an induction kit. How can they get amazing returns from something so simple, when other tuning companies can't even remap the 100HP, never mind get a 30% power increase from a mere remap and induction kit?

To put it into context, the standard Abarth 500, which has a turbocharger strapped onto its 1.4 litre engine, produces ~130BHP. I seriously doubt the 100HP can achieve the same figure with such small modifications, especially from a relatively unknown tuning company. If it was that easy to safely extract such a decent percentage power increase from the 100HP's engine, all the big name tuning places (superchips, revo etc) would be offering similar packages.

TL;DR: I call bullsh*t...(excuse my language). Though I'd love to be proven wrong.
