As with every 100HP ever made, my inner front tyres are balder than Bruce Willis. The rest of the tyre is fine. (n)

Theres a tyre place that has
The depot has state of the art balancing and a video camera alignment machines, which enable us to balance your wheels and align your vehicle with precise measurements.

Guess i'll have to book him in.

What make am I going with tyre wise? Toyo, Avon and Firestone are all roughly the same price.

Uniroyal Rainsports of course..............you live in England.

Rainsport 3s or Eagle F1s, there's nothing else I'd consider for the 100HP. It needs good tyres and those are the two best options.

I think the RS3s are slightly cheaper, so I'd go for those as your replacing both tyres. I got an Eagle F1 the other day when I had that new wheel, but that was only because I was replacing a single tyre and the other 3 on the car are Eagle F1s.

If you're thinking of replacing all four tyres and moving to 50 profile, it has to be RS3s as Goodyear don't make the Eagle F1 in 195/50 R15.

What one is better?

So in Scotland better with the Rainsports. Just looking on black circles and the Rs3 are £49.79 compared to the eagle F1 at £61.29

I assume they're not fitted prices? If they are, I need to stock up :p!

With over a tenner between the prices, I'd go for the RS3s anyway. I've driven my mum's mk7 Fiesta with RS2s on and they're unbelievably good in the wet (and still very good in the dry). By all accounts, the RS3s are even better still.

If I lived somewhere as...errr damp...as Scotland, I'd definitely get the cheaper RS3s. Win, win :).

Yeh that's not fitted... My brother had Rainsports on his Megan Trophy, he rated them. So when I get the cash I'm going order up ?

Scotland is always damp ?

It does seem that Uniroyal have made almost the perfect tyre for the UK's somewhat wet climate. I'm sure if you live in Texas or Dubai there are better tyre choices, but over here the RainSport line seem very well suited. Not only that, but they're very well priced considering their performance.

If they're good enough for a Megane Trophy, I'm sure they're fine for a 100HP haha :p!

I think i'll be looking to the Rainsports when I come to change the 'summer' tyres as they're quite well worn. They seen to get really good praise on here.

I've also had Vredestein Sportracs strongly recommended too, however.

Anyone else used those?

Did you not see my post about the rainsports

I'm going to order mine soon off camskill. they were £32.50 each Inc vat but now out of stock in 195/50/15 82v speed rating.

if you don't mind getting 82h they are 34.00 Inc vat.

I'm about to get 4 at 50 profile when they come back in stock for 32.50 at camskill.

I can't find anywhere else cheaper.

I like the 45 profile.. But that is good price tho ? my alloys are not the best and may look into getting refurbed ..

They are 41.90 Inc vat at 45 profile.

But 32.50 is so cheap. I wouldn't mind replacing them once a year at this price !!!! Bearing in mind the 100hp seems kind on the rear tires but mine also sufferes from balding inside edge like everyone else

Mine also... Think it's a 100hp problem haha

Another vote here for RS3's!
Amazed at the difference they made after fitting them all round.
Confidence level in the car went through the roof in wet & dry conditions, and I dont exactly drive like a granny!
(my fun car is a RWD sports car that handles like its on ice at times!)

Well the rs3 are back in stock on camskill in 195/50/15 82v speed rating.

bargain basement 32.50 Inc vat and delivery was only 11 for 4 tires

should be here tomorrow too. the wheels have just been refurbished too. the summer set

Happy days
