My td100 has recently started flashing the orange glow plug light after it has gone out and the engine started. This lasts for about a minute and then stops. Anyone got any ideas ??
thanks in advance

Hi!

Oh Dear!!! Glow-plug failure I'm afraid and they're a swine to get at, they're stuck underneath the inlet-manifold!!!

I had the same trouble on my Brava (same engine) and had to remove the inlet-manifold off the studs and pull it back about six inches from the engine, and you'll need a gasket-set for the TD100 for reassembly, see:-

however, you might be able to get at the pesky things with a dentist's mirror, a powerful key-ring torch and a ***deep*** 1/4" socket set!!!

Ask for Beru or NGK ones by the way!!! Good luck!!!

Chris Williams

PS!!! If you do decide to get the gasket kit & remove the manifold check your engine no. as
there are two types:- up to engine no. 036500 and no. 036501 onwards! £24.60 + VAT &
postage last time I ordered one!!!

try to disconnect and test them individually before removing them.. hopefully it won't be the one on no. 4. I'm sure I've posted before about how to test, but you need a multimeter or a 60W headlamp bulb.. shout if you need more info..
