General 1.6 Etorq pop insurance

Tried to get quote from Direct Line today . They do not list the 1.6 etorq pop, only the popstar.
They suggest I tell the DVLA that my V5 is in need of alteration !?
Anyone else had insurance issues with the 500x pop?

These UK insurance companies should be able to accurately identify make and model on registration details.

Well I would be doing:

o Revisit insurance company and dig deep

o Looking on websites (like parts suppliers etc) under your registration
This will possibly reveal/indicated what they think you have

o Going back to your dealer and ask then to validate/check you Chassis Number. From there they will be able to tell you your exact model etc.

Your car obviously exists. The fact the an insurance company can not identify / validate your vehicle if their LOST SALE. Do NOT give up.

I had no issues (Aviva). And Pop is in a lower insurance group than Pop Star so make sure they get it right!

I agree totally with s130 If the insurance company can't accurately identify your car from the index number that seems a bit sloppy
