hey everyone, does anyone know how to disable the sub that comes with the 1.6 16v dynamic stilo. ive got 2 inphase subs and the standard sub cant keep up with them when it comes to performance and sound quality, so it sounds pretty rough. ive tried to simply disconnect the sub from the radio and the back connections but wen i do this it stops the rest of the car speakers from working, :( what do i do?

There will be a plug near the sub somewhere probably by the light cluster access flap. If it isnt obvious which one it is post up a pic or 2 of inside the flap on the sub side.
P.S I take it you got your subs from Car Audio Centre, what was it that they didnt have in stock that you was going to buy before they suggested the Inphase ones.

lol nah i didnt get them from there, but another business were out of stock on JBLs so they gave me the inpahse ones.

The only way is to open up the factory sub and unplug the speaker wire going from the amp inside to the sub itself (theres a white plug on the circuit board where u can do this), as the rest of the speakers run though the amp in there as well. So u cannot just unplug the big multiplug on the side of the sub or all the speakers will stop working as u have found out.

Which company. It would be good to name and shame them. I would send them back and say that you are going to report them to trading standards. They advertise things then the company that sells Inphase actually manufatures the stuff so they lie to customers to sell more at a higher profit margin. Inphase doesnt actually sound that bad but in a couple of months the sub will cease and be useless.

so wat would i do to get them in real trouble, im interested!

Like i said report them to trading standards. If you pick some customers who purchased certain items and ask them if they were told that their original choice was out of stock you check the companies stock levels for those items at that particular time. It is a very simple process and very easy to spot who is doing it, as you have just found out.
