Hiya,
Just over a week ago I attempted to fit a new stereo to my O/H's Bravo.
It went it really easily (which should have warned me). However the stereo was not retaining the time or presets. So I had the radio out and had a 'bit of a fiddle'. To cut a long story short. It seems as though I have a 'dead' perm power connection. I also seem to have fritzed the dashboard, in that the speedo, temp and fuel gauge are no longer working. The Rad fan is also not cutting in leading to over-heating.
Question is this. Is it possible that my fannying around with the connections to the radio has caused the other issues. I have checked the fuses and all seem to be intact. My initial gut feeling is that I have 'disturbed' a wire behind the front facia panel. Does this make sense?
Thank guys

John

sounds liek you may have blown at least the services fuse, behind the panel on the lower right of the drivers side dash.

as for the memory issue, swap the red and yellow wires around.

Thanx man,

Thought I had checked all the fuses. But it turns out I hadn't. Your advice paid off and all is ok now

I owe you
