Technical 1.3 white smoke (only when COLD)

Good point, but would it only do the white smoke when cold and no other performance symptoms once warm?

Glow plugs in IDI diesels run after the engine has started for times around 40 seconds or more. If the plugs switch off as the engine fires you would get the symptoms noted. If the compression is good I would really look at this.

Does anyone have any spare used injectors they'd like to part with? Problem not rectified as of yet, but would like to sort it over winter.

So a slight update, van has sat for the past 10 days. So went to start it with the advice of allowing plugs to heat up with a few turns of the key before firing. Fired perfectly as usual, but no difference with the smoke unfortunately

So I’ve booked it in to a diesel specialist locally to test the injectors and fault find. Cross fingers!
