Technical 1.2 W Reg Punto - engine cutting out when warm

The engine cuts out when the car is warm. The only way to start it again is to disconnect the battery for a few seconds and then it starts again.

It seems that it already has a new ECU. There are no error codes on the ECU. Any ideas?!

leavng it for a few minutes is often enough to get car restarted,might be coincidence? Like I said I would start there (scope out sensor pattern) then move on if this wasn't the fault.

without actually physically seeing/testing the car when the fault occurs is next to impossible to diagnose.....therefore it comes down to past experience/calculated guesses.

I would say crankshaft sensor too, have seen this asked on here many times, and usually it's the crankshaft sensor at fault!

did you scope out the wave pattern of the crank sensor?

Apparently it was the onboard computer.

Try changing the fuel filter, especially if you run quite low a lot, what happened on mine.
