Hi Guys
My 61 plate 1.2 Pop Stop Start won't start. It had been standing for a couple of weeks so I thought it was the battery. I've charged that up (don't worry, I put the negative clip on the stud where the black lead clips on and off to protect the stop/start mechanism) and this charged up just fine. The lights and all the electrics work seem to work OK.
All I get when I turn the key is a loud clicking. I'm assuming that's the solenoid. I tried rocking the car back and forth in top gear and trying again. No luck.
With the lights on, trying to start the engine dims the battery so I'm also assuming there's current flowing to the starter.
Any of you knowledgeable folk have any ideas before I call the Fiat dealer?
Thanks
J
