Swapping Punto 1.2 8v MPI engine into Cinquecento Sporting and ran into slight issue with engine height. It is too high and bonnet doesn't close.
Wasn't it supposed to be straight fit?
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to make it fit? Need like 3-5cm of extra space. I suppose I could add a spacer between engine mount and car body, but it wouldn't be enough.
Can I got the engine from is a 1996 Fiat Punto 75.
Oh, and what parts should I scavenge off this car before I take it to scrapyard? I have the engine, ECU, loom, code box and fuel pump. I suppose I should also take gear box just in case? What else? Driveshafts? Brakes (bigger perhaps? do they fit 13 inch wheels?)?
