Hello, I need all my discs and pads changing on my 08 Fiat Bravo. I'm happy and confident with changing the fronts, but the rear, I understand the piston on the caliper will need to be wound back. Which way do I wind back? I've heard Fiats are opposite thread on the piston? Which way do I wind, clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Thank you
Craig

Thank you for your reply.. Would a punto have same rear brakes? I can't see why it would be different though to be honest,

It is almost the same, as you have front and rear discs instead of drums like on some puntos.

On the Bravo ( just like the Stilo) on the rear you have to turn the piston wile you are pushing it. he direction of rotation is different on each side!!!!

For right-hand drive :
Drivers side clockwise and passengers side anti clockwise..roger

..another way to remember is ..rotate the wheel as if the car is driving forward and it works out the same ..passengers side [spin the wheel to the left]= anti clock wise and the same on the drivers side spin the wheel to the right [as it would driving forward ]= clockwise..

Thank you very much, this was the sort of information I was looking for, i read somewhere before about winding back the pistons back differently to other cars, thank you for this information, would help me a lot! :)

Does anyone know what size disc I will need to wind back the piston on the rear caliper, is it 1" & 1/4 diameter?

Thanks again
