Technical '06 Panda crank sensor issue.....

We have had 0.8V in the past while cranking, this isn't correct

We now have 0.26 slowly dropping at ignition on this is correct

It seems like it's time sensitive, although it could be a coincidence

Before we start touching anything it would be nice to see if it's repeatable, otherwise we will not be able to confirm if it's fixed
 
Alright so this video is right now after 4 hours closed between the 10mm bolt on the ECU and the negative terminal of the battery

Opening the door until the pump filled the pressure

Opening ignition

Rolling down the window

And reopening the ignition in the end

Seems normal? So I'm guessing it was a system that was running like the selespeed pump causing a load that caused this alarming thing so i guess we can say all normal

I wasn't quick enough before it started pouring but that's what i managed to measure plugged and unplugged at ignition on

Didn't check that now the car is closed but still unlocked I'll hook it to the engine and tell you what happens as soon aa it stops raining that is

That's not good

Should be bang on 5V

Official specification is plus or minus 0.1V

Although every car I have tried is 4.9? Or 5.0?

But the accuracy of your meter is unknown
 
Alright will double check that again because it was in a rush but it was normal to have 2 with a stable so called 5v?
 
And the camshaft position sensor returned 4.9v
That's close enough

But why do the voltages keep altering

Without cranking the car

Probe the two outer wires on the camshaft sensor, does not matter if it's plugged in or not

Switch the ignition on and off a few times

Is it instantly 4.9V every time

Remove the battery terminals and touch them together or jumper them

Put them back and just turn the ignition on is it instantly 4.9V


It's not going 4.1, 4.2, 4,3 slowly should be there within a second
 
Yes it is jumping up pretty quickly in about quarter to a third of a second and stops at 4.91v so you can say 4.90v-4.91v is the value at every ignition on
 
I didn't do the jumping part want me to do it? Or as it function properly there's no need?
 
So jump the 2 wires on both sides of the plug after disconnecting the battery then connect the battery and check?
