Technical '06 Panda crank sensor issue.....

And it didn't work and have an extra battery to the car as jump-start and still nothing

And btw it's clear that it's not a ground to the engine or gearbox bcz we did the voltage drop test and there wasn't any issue

On the thin metal on the back of the ECU is 0.5v
This does not sound right to me

Mine is slightly different as the ECU is bolted directly to the engine

There is very little current running to the ECU there should be no voltage drop

The maximum difference should be 0.2V which is the drop we measured to the block

How is your ECU case grounded?

Alright so the ecu is connected to the battery seat is fixed by 4 hex 5 mm bolts and the one on the bottom left *viewing from the plugs view contains 2 ground, one is to the chassis and the other a ground to the upper ECU loom

If you can see them here it's from when i was getting the ECU number but it's showing on the bottom left

Correct

It is intermittent

But no voltage drop equals no probem
Do you mean by that that sometimes the drop test goes beyond 0.3v causing the car to fail?
But in that case we're below 0.3 and should start

I have a question: is there any ground terminals inside the car? As in behind the dashboard or something?

It should be below 0.2V on the plus side of the starter and 0.2V negtive side of the starter

It's something like 400 amps before it starts turning drop in to under 100 amps when spinning

Some voltage drop is to be expected

Even a couple of volts will not stop the car from starting

We are good on this 👍

The ECU is less than 2 amps there should be no noticeable voltage drop at all

But this still doesn't explain my problem bcz i think if there's some issue with my grounding the car shouldn't crank at all

No the engine ground is ok so it will crank on starter......... that does NOT mean all the other grounds are ok

There's no problem with the gearbox ground

We need to look elswhere

But you look to have a problem with a reference voltage somewhere

This picture I post earler was my car

The communication from the ECU is lost
The Battery light has gone out

two of the symptoms of your car

The ECU can not see a plus and minus 2V signal from the crankshaft sensor if the reference ground on either side do not match

We are looking anywhere in here

A good start would be C011 on my older pandas it was a black connector on my 2011 it is a brown cable and eye

Under the wipers right? And by that i mean i have to remove them along with the plastic?
