hi all, just joined the forum, i was looking for a sports car for under £10k and naturally after seeing a stilo schumi, i bought a mg tf:bang: yep a mistake!, having had it all of two weeks a can't live with the bumpy ride and the odd leak, now i've read the forum and i am aware of the problems you can get with a stilo (you should see the mg forum, the word mgf/tf and head gasket failure in the same sentence bring tears to the eyes) in short, every car has problems, so i've spotted an 06 plate schumi 4.5k miles at £9.5k and am seriously considering a trade in, which of course will cost me changing cars so quick, but if your not happy...
does the schumi sound like a good price?
p.s sorry about the double thread, clicked post thread twice! doh

the schumi is a brill car, I love the alloys on them :yum: plus you can only get them in a 3 door. FIAT obviously seen sense :p

(waits for PNL to come along defending the 5 door)
it's not the gp version mind, still looks nice though:) what's worse about the mg is my mate said it reminded him of his old metro:eek: only faster, then i look at the mirrors, and the sub frames, bloody hell, i've got a posh metro:bang:
ok, i might be a bit harsh on it, it's still fun with the roof down and it sticks to the road but....

MG???? Are you a hairdresser by chance? :p
Sorry it had to be said.. ;)

Go for the Schumi!!!

They are the nuts! I'm ever so slightly biased though..

You can prob get a GP edition for close to that money though.
Not a great deal of differences but the suspension is a must.. Oh and the rear box.. and..

search out a GP if you can!

do you want a short back and sides or a cut and blowdry:D

as for the gp, done a search on the web and can't find a one in the uk! the none gp schumi up for sale is local in glasgow, could get a convert later though i think this will cost about £1k with suspension back box?

PMSL!

So where'd you see the Schumi and did you get close enough to see the ltd edition badge?

So you seriously thinking of going for it?
looks like i posted just before you so your reply came under mine, as stated above, it's in glasgow, can see the ltd edition badge on the dash of interior pics, can't see number thought, i guess it could of had suspension done but it hasn't got the double exhaust, i am seriously thinking of going for it.

Or there was a member thinking of selling their's... (searches threads...)

ah yes,mg and head gasket, told you not to mention in same sentence:eek:
very nice car billboy, trouble is, i'd have to sell the mg privately( not easy in winter!) to have money up front, where if i trade in i can haddle a bit for a good deal(or best i can), so i'll have to stick to dealers
cheers.

In Brazil they did the Schumi in 5 dr version, very weird and ugly indeed! :p

now now boys don't be childish, two or three doors,it doesn't matter and i couldn't possibly have an opinion on the matter( 3 DOOR..3 DOOR RULES):D

on er..more..er serious note, i remember back in my fiat coupe days the 20v engine needed to come out for a cam-belt change, v expensive, is it the same for the schumi? not to worried yet as it could be five or more years away, but
good to check.

Athos could definitely do with a 5 door :p :p

It would give his terrified passengers a much better chance of getting out when given half a chance :D (since he likes making his speed warning beep all the time ;) )

There we're a few specialists who could do the cam-belt change on a coupe 20v without taking out the engine.
that was true if you where lucky enough to find them! so is it engine out job on the the stilo schumi, provided you can't get these chosen few specialists
