Well, Ive just collected my new Stilo 150 JTD Sporting, Ive only driven a few miles but it does seem veeeeery nice (I'll have a proper 'play' at the weekend!!)

Small question, sorry if its a silly one.......does it have to be 'run in'?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Ian.

If its a brand new car then yes run it in (y)

Dont know if you are the same Ian I was talking to on Monday but did you talk to a rather hansome guy with a breard  in Fairwater in Cardiff last monday he had a new JTD and was going to join up so is it you ?

Hi,

Blimey, thanks for the prompt reply - you must have been waiting!!

Unfortunatley, it wasnt me - I was in sunny Stoke last Monday as normal!

Thanks for the advice, but to be more specific - 'how' should it be run in?

Ian.

Im sure if you look through your handbook it will tell you but basically dont over rev the engine in any gear and labour the engine by trying to pull away at a low speed in a high gear and if it states you have to have an interim oil/filter change say at a 1,000 miles then do so and dont let it slip and remember that the JTD has a shorter service period that the petrol as well :) Welcome to the stilo massive mate hope you enjoy your car (y)

EErrmmmm just ONE question from me though is it 3dr or 5dr :)

Thanks for the advice, I have had a look at the handbook but the section in question is completely missing from gthe book - pages go up to 123, then 195!!

I must admit, I didnt think that was a particularly good start!!

To answer yor question - 3 door.

Thanks again,

Ian.

PS What fuel do I put in? I know its diesel - any thoughts on which brand, or just cheapest??
