I’ve finally managed to get hold of the 2004 Stilo brochure and after comparing the specifications with original 2002 brochure have come up with the following differences with the Abarth: -
ESP, ASR, MSR and brake assist is now an option
Roof airbags now an option
No sign of the optional cold climate pack
5 door “Prestigio” now has comfort pack and cruise control as an option
Now only 4 solid colours (rather than original 7). ‘Sprint Blue’ and ‘Broom Yellow’ are no more and have been replaced by ‘Murano Blue’ and’ Imola Yellow’. Not sure whether these are just new names for the same colour. ‘Pitti Blue’ and ‘Indy Green’ are no longer available.
Now only 5 metallic colours (rather than original 10) – ‘Chrome Grey’ looks like the best of the bunch
Addition of 2 (awful) pearlescent colours ‘Polar Blue’ and ‘Techo Grey’
Imola Yellow classed as “chargeable paint”. Not sure whether this a paint type or option (which would otherwise just leave ‘White’ and ‘Murano Blue’ as the only standard solid colours)
Colour matrix display gone (criminal!)
No sign of ‘Easy Go’ or ‘Radar Cruise Control’ (did that ever get launched?)
No 12V supply in boot (although after checking out a car in the showroom the puddle lights are still there!)
Kind of makes you want to keep hold of your old Abarth now doesn’t it?
