Hi!

I just registered and wanted to say hello to all oy you Stilo-people! I live in Finland and I own red Stilo 80 Actual 3D (registered august 2003), lovely car I must say!

The car covered 11000 km and I'm very happy with it. Only problems so far have been faulty Defa engine pre-heating element (dealer installation problem, not actually car's fault...) and stiff gearchange in cold enviroment (sorted by the dealer in warranty).

Hey tell me more about the gearchange (can do in Finnish too). What did they do to it?
My gearchange is very stiff too and I told them to change the oil but they said it's synthetic already so they didn't do anything.

Stilo'04, Loden Green, 17" alloys, 8spkr "hifi" system, debadged, tinted windows.

Ok, let's talk english cos this is english forum. Dealer changed gearbox oils in warranty, nothing more... They put fully synthetic stuff in. It didn't make great difference (changed at 6000 km), but now after 11000 km, the gearbox is starting to work like it should. Maybe the gearbox just was getting used to hard drivin'...

Ahh ok. I only have 1200km on mine.
Luckily this only bothers me when its -6c or colder. I'll complain about it again at 1-year service

what is a preheating element? how much does it cost? Did you order it from the factory? what make is it? in general....please explain it!

When I ordered the car last summer, I asked my dealer if I could get one installed free of charge... And after negotiating few minutes I actually did get one for free and the dealer installed it here (not in factory). Otherwise it would have been 250€ extra and here in cold Finland that device is essential.
