NOOOOOO O O O o o o o oooooooooo ............
Little bugger in a pedal go-kart was flying up and down the road in front of my house yesterday when another neighbours dog sprinted after him, the kid, being quite scared of dogs, tried to make his getaway by pedalling the contraption straight into my 2003 red stilo's passenger door.
Go kart survived, the driver wouldnt have had i been at home, the passenger door suffered an angular dint about 3 inches long and half an inch deep just 4 inches below the black plastic thingy that runs along the door, i hope it was his head that put it there.
While the neighbour who "owned" the little muppet was kind enough to point out it was her spawn that had put it there, i am sorely hurt to find out that its not a simple fix, it involves a total door respray once the dent is beaten out. Price €150 (bout £110). Now this was a quote by the towns local dent fixer bloke, very good at his job however im heading up to fiat to see how much they will fleece me (it will probably involve taking a pound of my flesh) for the same job... im scared that the local lad wont be able to match colors with the rest of the car, but thats his job isnt it i hear you say, well yes but heres the question im looking you to answer....
Would you trust the local bloke or would you pay out by leaving it in the dealers service yard and possibly paying more than €150... would you think Mr.Local will be able to do it (he is good, he fixed my dads Marea's rear boot door) or do you think FIAT would make a better job... its a whole door respray after all and they should have the proper paint and laquer... :bang:
