Looks like you all got it wrong, The fuel light is fine, The oil light is fine, The passenger light in fine.

What is wrong however an engine fault, Looked in the manual and it seems its the exhaust sensor?! It came on yesturday then when I stalled the car [still getting used to the clutch ] It went off, but it came on again today, so off to the garage it goes.

Also, I opened up the bonnet and the main engine cover is missing, Seems it was taken off and never went back on.

so A) What forum can I post this in so I might be able to find one on here and B) Does anyone know where I can get one? I guess it will be really expensive to get one from the Fiat deeler

1st of all im guessing your following up a previous post?never good to post a half conversation as i have no idea what you are talking about?

as for an engine cover your cheapest option is to get in touch with scrappys including the online parts searching ones such as parts gateway.also look on ebay for someone breaking a stilo.

theres a parts wanted section in the classifieds but once you post a request post another thread in say stilo general to link to that request and get a few more views

You could always ask the dealer how much it will cost, then decide if it is too much.

The engine fault is most likely a loose connection somewhere, but you never know so it's always wise to get it checked out before you drive it too much.

Fiat aren't as expensive for parts as you may think, so check them first

I had that sort of problem, kept coming up on the HUD that it was an engine fault too.. took it in and one of the injectors was misaligned.. so they realigned it.
and then a month later, same problem, took it in again and the injector had fused or something, so they replced the injector and relay and hey presto, no more troubles.

Just signed up to Parts gate way so fingers crossed. Will check with Fiat on tuesday when I go up as there is no one there at the moment.

Take the car back to where you bought it from and tell them to pay for it. You might even be lucky and it might just be lying around somewhere, either at the previous owners place, or in the showroom...

Its not at theirs but they are going to have a hunt for me. Unfortunatly I cant take it back just for small things [like the current problem with the engine fault light] as they are in maidstone and i am in southampton

Yep by the cross roads that's right! My nan lives in maidstone so it was kinda on the way up. And I really wanted one with the roof. And this one had one and was only £4995!

Just got phone call from garage, Sensor needed realigning, They've flashed the rom on the car and have re'gend the air con, they have also fitted a new engine cover. Total? £136. the sensor realignment comes under a warranty i have on the car so really its £106!

Not too bad... at least everything is sorted now
