So finally found time to fit the lowering kit. Chose the eibach Sportline kit in the end and the eibach pro dampers to go with them. One of best mods ive done i think and well worth the money. Doesnt look like a 4x4 anymore and handles amazingly, distinct improvement and hardly any bodyrole. Plus i can still go over speed bumps no worries as its not lowerd a silly amount. Im very happy with them and dont want to go any lower (even if some of you on here think i should :p)

Anyway heres what it was like before

Thanks for looking (y)

It's a 1.4 and andy.......trust me, you WILL want it lower in 3 months. I guarentee it.

Don't bother with expensive disks and pads unless you have won the lottery. I did on my last car and it was the biggest waste of nearly £400. They don't make any difference to te braking as that is the cars braking mechanisms job. Then even if they are drilled and vented you can't change the fact that they are and look weedy behind the wheels.

I have looked into that group buy for punto adaptors to fit Brembo's from the coupe. I still don't know if the punto and stilo is the same though. :bang:

Hi Andy, car is looking mint ! Im seriously considering lowering mine now, but have you declared it to your insurance ?? How did it affect it ? Did your excess go through the roof ?

Greg

Does look good, I was so glad when I did it on RGZ. You really notice the difference in looks and around the corners - both were important factors for me though the latter more so.

In insurance terms it didn't affect mine but I'm with Adrian Flux. Obviously declare it though, you'd be an idiot not to :p

On the brakes front, I'm about to get new ones for my 1.2. These ones caught my eye... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360215865134&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT ...still expensive compared to OEM, but look better and MAY perform better.

looks gorgeous mate, i love the colour. I lowered my abarth about a year ago on eibach sportlines, went down about the same as yours, it was a huuuge improvement but now 12 months on im going lower when funds allow lol, some coilovers for me i think, be aware though, the engine guard underneath is partial to speedbumps, as is the rubber splitter, stilos looking V nice though mate good job :)

How much drop was that Adam and have you got a couple of pics. Im really considering a bit of a drop on mine. I have no rubber spoiler thing though so that will hurt if i scrape

what kit did you go for? I'm doing mine soon. Never really been that much of a fan of lowering tbh, but I think the OEM springs are on their way out and with the car so high I may as well put some better kit on it.

Eibach used to do a kit for Springs and Damper, but i can't find it anymore. Also, with eibach kit, does anyone know why the lower the front 45mm and the rear 30mm. Surely it should be even all round?
