Hello

My abarth is the euro version, left side steering wheel.

It appears to come from the right-ish front side of the car, but only in very rough roads, such as ones without asphalt but blocks of granite.

Typical noise of something loose, but everything seems tight.

Can anyone relate this rattle to any commonly known stilo defects ? Steering column? loose brake pads? broken front suspension? anything?

Always hard to actually say where a rattle is coming from..it very much like a leaking roof water come in one place and comes out at another point.. but dont rule out the drop links either..very common problem shaggy..:)

Edit..Doh where did the yellow one come from..LOL

rattle definitely comes from the front/center-right side.

I did thought it could be from the back (rear stabilizer bar common problem in stilos?) but I did not find any rear stabilizer bar.... is it missing ? lol perhaps hidden.

are there any diagrams that show each one of the things you guys mentioned??

I must "explain" to the mechanic in my native language, so some pictures would be awesome.

Hi just changed my 2 front wishbones I used to get a terrible racket coming from the lack of rubbers on the wishbones now changed perfect now got them both of ebay great quality great price £70 for 2 delivered £20 fit =£90 fitted for 2 front wishbones

Similar problem here,

Car makes a clunking rattly noise when going over uneven ground i.e filled potholes, road humps etc..)

Have had it into dealer who says nothings wrong and a suspension specialist who says also nothing wrong but said suspension mounting could do with being "lubed"?

any thoughts?

And what does "lubed" mean in relation to suspension mountings?

In my experience, the only bushes that benfit from 'lube' on the Stilo are the two rear axle bushes (if the bolts are seizing). Your noise sounds like classic front drop links. And TBH, unless you remove them you can't properly inspect them and be sure there's 'nothing wrong'.
