replace pollen filter

Definitely check the pollen filter. I had the same problem with my 02 Abarth and took the filter out and it was thick with dirt and dust not to mention soaking wet at the bottom.

After that the heater works fine and seems to heat up a little better, though now i seem to have a problem with the thermostat cos soon as i turn the heater up the engine temp goes straight to cold :( that will have to wait until it gets a bit warmer lol

100% agree, my wifes stilo was really bad at getting any air flow through the vents I decided to change the pollen filter on both of our cars (i have a honda accord) and it really improved the airflow. Its not the easiest of jobs as the pollen filter is right at the back of the centre of the dash (there is a really helpful guide on here) and the steering rack gets right in the way but its really worth doing. Took me about 30 mins 10 of which were spent scratching my head wondering how the hell i was going to get the filter back in without breaking it! Good luck with it!
