Right ive done a quick search and couldnt find anything.

Drove to my mates house this morning and radio worked fine.
my car was left at my mates all day while we were at college. came home and got in the car, started it, radio didnt come on.

Ive checked the fuse and its ok, any ideas on what the problem could be.

PS its the factory fitted cassette radio and ive made no modifications to the car

Have you been playing with the buttons to the right of the stearing wheel ? and does the radio come on when you press the big button in the middle of the radio?

Well ive taken the radio apart and fiddled, only really seemed to take apart and put back together:eek:
Thought i would give the power a plug in to see what happened, it worked so i proceed to plug the other 2 in. when ive done that, it had stopped working again!!:bang:

To say i am p***ed off is a mild understatement

ive got the exact same problem i was on my way to work and it just stopped and hasnt turned on since its been three weeks now.

None of you guys really said whether the device stopped playing and shut down completely, or was it first unresponsive and then each time you start the engine, the lights go on on the radio but there is no info on the screen or music playing.

This would help as I had the same problem and was able to fix mine.

i cant get hold of any keys to remove it ive got a standard set which seem to fit ok but dont click and pull the radio out

Nothing should click, you just need to push them deep enough until the rods push the clips out. You can find a guide here. Use a coat hanger, just like everyone else. :)

The fuse it right next to the connectors, easy to spot. I suggest you start there.

i just used drill bits when i removed my stereo as it had already was taken out by previous owner the clip was a but stiff "stuck" but if you press hard enough it will deffo come out, when you see what keeps it in you will see that you could use anything skinny to get it out as vlad said a coat hanger would do great
